‼️ EQUINE INFLUENZA NOTICE ‼️

Due to the recent increase in Equine Influenza outbreaks across the UK, and confirmed cases now moving closer to our area, we kindly ask everyone attending Beacons to help us protect all horses and ponies on site by following the measures below 👇

✅ ONLY vaccinated horses and ponies will be permitted at Beacons.

✅ PASSPORTS & VACCINATIONS
For British Showjumping classes, horses and ponies must comply with current British Showjumping vaccination rules.

British Showjumping states:

“Flu vaccinations are mandatory for all registered horses and ponies and they must be in possession of a valid flu vaccination certificate… booster vaccinations must be administered at a maximum of 12 month intervals.”

Vaccination spot checks will be carried out.

For unaffiliated shows and hires, passports must also be checked.
You may either:
• Email clear vaccination pages before attending, OR
• Have passports checked on arrival.

⚠️ Please do not unload your horse/pony until passports have been approved.
⚠️ If you arrive without a passport, you will unfortunately be turned away — no exceptions.

✅ Please only bring healthy animals.
Do not attend if your horse/pony is unwell, or if you have any unwell horses at home.

✅ Take temperatures before leaving home.
If your horse/pony has:
• A temperature
• Dry cough
• Nasal discharge/snotty nose
Please DO NOT attend.

✅ Please bring your own water and buckets.
There will be no access to the yard area.

✅ No tying up outside trailers/lorries.
Please keep horses and ponies loaded when not working.

✅ No grazing around the arena, banks or car park.

✅ Please do not allow horses/ponies to touch noses.

✅ Please keep within your own “stabling/travelling” groups.

✅ Prize givings will be unmounted.
